37 weeks!

Things are looking good at the doctors office. So good that I am proud to say I didn't gain ANY weight at this one! Yippee! I know I am big but I didn't think I was HUGE! But every Sunday it seems like everyone is surprised I am still pregnant! I feel like they are talking to me like I should have given birth already! Maybe it's because I have pretty much been pregnant for the entire 4 years we have lived here! I am just happy that I can say it was all planned! No accidents in this family!
You will have to excuse the great photography job! Hunter took them for me. So you will just have to use your imagination and piece them together!

Bunk Beds

We got bunk beds for the kids and I was SUPER nervous about the transfer. You know the whole getting out of bed and crying forever by the door till they finally fall asleep and you have to put them in bed after they are OUT!? Yeah, NONE of that happened! I was SO shocked! It wasn't a problem AT ALL! I don't know if it's because he was so tired he didn't notice or care, or was he really excited like Hunter? Who knows, but it worked and I am NOT complaining!

Once we got them all set up and pushed against the wall, we had a bit of a problem. There is a BIG gap between the bed and the wall. Like a 6-9" gap! So we had to shove pillows and blankets in there so that they don't fall through to the floor under the bed. The other problem was that we only have one top mattress for the bed right now, so we had the plan to put them both on bottom for a week till we get the other mattress.

So we put Hurley down, and NOT 1 peep! He must have been BEAT! So we went to check on him and it was kinda dark so I couldn't see real well, and Tyson laughed and said "He is in the crack!" I automatically started to move him not knowing exactly how he was laying, and he said "I would just leave him there." My response was "NO! What if he dies!?" Hurley always turns to his belly to sleep and so I thought for sure that is how he was laying. But he was face up and totally comfortable! He didn't even budge! So we layed Hunter down and she fell right to sleep too! Hurley only woke up one time cause he couldn't move to situate himself since he was stuck in the crack!

I thought for sure the next day for nap time would be hard. It was light and he could see where to get out of bed. Still not a problem! I put him down and he even talked to himself for a bit before falling asleep, but didn't get out of bed! What good kids! I love them!

Hunters 3rd Birthday!

February 22, 2008-3 Years ago I gave birth to this little beauty...
(Picture Oct. 25, 2008 - 8 months old)
And today we celebrated!!! I felt so bad because I had plans for the day, and woke up sick! So plans changed in a snap, but I don't think she minded too much. We spend the day in our jammies, sitting on the couch, watching shows! What more could a girl ask for?

So I called Tyson and told him I was not cooking and he needed to either bring dinner home, or decide something that he wanted to cook. So...

Pizza it was! And since I didn't get the chance to bake a cake, We had a Chili's Chocolate Molten cake... MUCH better!
Hurley can now successfully climb on the table by himself... oh the joy!

After dinner and cake, the kids had a bath and got jammies on. Since we are slacker parents and didn't get the time to get a Birthday present, it's a good thing Grandpa Lanny sent something! It was, and still is, a HIT! They play the piano EVERYDAY! Thank you Grandpa! I do not remember a time when he has EVER forgotten a birthday or Christmas! He is so good! Especially since he lives so far away. He always says "wish we lived closer so we could spoil them!" Well Grandpa, you do a great job! They get more from you than anyone else! He sends things even when its not necessary! LOVE YOU GRANDPA!

And the leftover Christmas/Birthday present from Grandma Jody. She got it for Christmas, but we saved half of it for her birthday. She loves her backpack carrier for her Bitty Baby! Thanks Grandma J!
Since Hunters birthday was on a tuesday we waited till Saturday to have her party. We had it at the park and served everyone cereal for breakfast! Cereal is her favorite food. Every meal you can ask her what she wants to eat and it's "cereal" EVERY TIME! And she even likes the healthy stuff. She usually has frosted mini wheats, but if we have raisin bran she will usually pick that instead! We don't complain! Atleast it's good food and not candy and junk! Which she LOVES too, don't get me wrong, but what can I say? "Like mother like daughter!" Us girls LOVE our cereal! Hurley is quite the fan too! Now if we could just convince Tyson that cereal is a great dinner meal choice!
Hunter is really into Minnie right now, so she chose a Minnie cake. Which the picture looks pretty good, but she really looked like she just came out of the tanning bed! And this cake took A LOT longer to make and decorate than I ever thought! Wont do that very often! Then we had a side of Minnie cupcakes! I was just doing pink frosting, then my brilliant husband suggested mini oreos for ears! What a genius!

After the party we took the trip to El Paso, Texas. We had to pick up the bunk beds we ordered in preparation for the new baby! So we of course met up with my aunt Traci and uncle Eric for dinner and to the house afterwards for ANOTHER cake and present party! They of course did way more than they needed to. They always do. We really appreciate that we live so close to them and get to see them sometimes. We don't get together as much as we should for how close we live. Im sure we will regret it when we move. Thanks for EVERYTHING guys! We love you!
So all in all, for me being sick on her birthday, she did not miss out on any celebrating! Happy Birthday Hunter! We love you SO MUCH and love having you in our family! You bring so much joy and happiness into our lives and put smiles on our faces every day!

pictures for memories

Just thought this one of him sleeping was kinda funny. And the fact that you can see my kids use the crib as a teething toy! We like to call it "the horse trough".
It was fun to see them playing together, and actually doing the same thing! I love that Hunter wants him to play with her and get sad when he wont or leaves. Hurley is so cute and actually makes eating sounds!
Then he got ahold of a crayon.....
...and took a bite! Good thing it was a nontoxic Crayola! and a dry erase! The clean up was so simple!

Hunters friend Hudson Hulet! They are SOOO cute together! It's like they are teenagers and get giddy over eachother! I don't want to encourage her to like boys, but it is just so dang cute! Plus, look at that boy, he is a CATCH! Not to mention that we LOVE his parents! It would be totally awesome if she married into that family!
The classic "Jaden" pose! Tyson and I laughed so hard!
We have stopped giving Hunter naps so that she will go to bed earlier at night. The poor girl gets so tuckered out and falls asleep nearly everyday!
Just because! Everyone need a picture snuggling!
This was so funny. It was the end of the night, obviously past bedtime, and I walked in to see Hunter and Kadence like this!
I love Hunters arm around Kadence! And her pig tails that she only let me do like 2 days! Glad I snapped a shot!
Friends Forever!
Melissa Jimenez, Kristina Adams, Stephanie Estes, ME!
(this is cause I am hardly in pictures cause I am always the one taking them, and I actually got ready for once so this was a MUST!)
It's normal to wear you bathing suit in February... right? And go down the slide in the front room...?
.....And the classic falling asleep while eating! Another must have...

Alamogordos little Natural Disaster

Welcome February!

Tues. Feb. 1, 2011
wake up.... snowing!?
bedtime... STILL snowing! hasn't stopped

Wed. Feb. 2, 2011
wake up.... LOTS of snow! down fall all night!
late morning.... take the kids out to play in the snow. Hunter begged the whole day before to make a snow angel! She kept saying the trampoline looked like a birthday cake!
early afternoon... stopped snowing, some sunshine.
bedtime.... FREEZING!
(side note... Tyson told me when he got home that he went to Walmart on the way to work and a lady with 2 young children in front of him paying didn't have enough money for the warm clothing that she was trying to purchase for her kids, and was trying to decide what she could put back so she could afford the items. So being the soft warm hearted man he is walked up and swiped his card so she could get all the things she wanted for her kids. Just one more reason why I LOVE HIM! He gets total credit for why we have heat and hot water!)

Thurs. Feb 3, 2011
3:30 am.... -8 degrees. Tyson gets called into work because the gas company is threatening to shut down the base because they are using too much gas.
6:30 am.... our power and gas go out!
7:00 am.... kids wake up. I take some crackers, cereal, and poptarts into their room where we have placed a space heater and we shut ourselves in hoping to stay warm and have breakfast.
8:00 am.... power and heat return.
most of the town is without gas, meaning no heat or hot water.
5:00 pm.... text from Tyson "Governer has just declared the state of NM is out of gas". (start making a plan. 1- go to Traci's in El Paso 2- get space heaters and propane. we have food and water, thank goodness)
bedtime.... 0 degrees. Hurley is in bed and I tell Hunter it's time for her to go. She replies "I don't want to go to bed without daddy!" So sad! So we wait.
9:30 pm.... Hunter goes to bed... without daddy.

Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 (Dads 2nd Birthday in Heaven. 46 yrs)
1:30 am.... Tyson FINALLY gets home!
6:00 am.... alarm clock goes off. A:"When do you have to be to work?" T:"7 o'clock. But I'm going in late, I don't care!"
6:50 am.... Hurley wakes up. Tyson brings him in to our room after giving the kids kisses before he leaves so that Hunter can keep sleeping.
7:00 am.... Back to work, when everyone else is off, and the base is still closed. Hurley is crying as he walks away. He comes back for more Hurley loves. My poor sweet husband! He loves his kids SO MUCH! It breaks his heart when he hears them cry as he walks away.

Went to Walmart to get a few things, and the parking lot was the fullest I have EVER seen it! I knew it would be a mad house going in. Honestly, it wasn't as bad inside as I was planning... until I went to check out! I stood in line for 45 minutes! The lines were ridiculous. Luckily my kids were SO GOOD!

Most people have heat and hot water now. Things seem to be pretty much back to normal, as far as utilities go.

7:00 pm.... we go to a friends house to visit and hangout for a bit. With no dad or husband, and probably being pregnant, my patients were starting to run a little thin. We had a good time and Hunter played Hide and Seek for the first time. She is good at the seeking part, however, the hiding part needs a little work. She isn't quiet or stay in the spot till she is found! But not bad for her first time.

10:30 pm.... go home, kids fall asleep on the way. Put them in bed, and Tyson comes home about 11:00 pm. He informs me that he will probably be working like this for a couple weeks because there is SO MUCH damage on base. OH GREAT! It could be a long couple weeks.
